Student Summer Storage

Each year, a tremendous amount of waste is generated as students move out, with many items that could be reused or stored are tossed. By storing your items, you help you save money, reduce your waste and contribute to a more sustainable campus community.

Available to all UMN Students! 
If you live in one of the Housing and Residential Life, we can arrange to pick up your materials when you move out and deliver them back when you return next school year. If you live off-campus or in a building we can't deliver to, you can still store your items at the ReUse Warehouse, though you'll need to transport them yourself.

Student Summer Storage

Step 1: Pick a Plan

  • Full Summer Storage (April-September)
    $40/box
  • Short Term Storage (1 month or less)
    $20/box

    All items must fit inside the storage box provided. Each box will comfortably fit microwaves, mini fridges, office chairs and mirrors. Box dimensions are 48 inches long x 24 inches wide x 28 inches tall, approximately 19 cubic feet. Unwanted or large items can be donated to the Pack & Give Back Program.

Step 2: Pick-Up & Drop-Off

On-Campus Living
We offer pick-up and delivery for the following on-campus housing locations: 17th Ave, Bailey, Centennial, Comstock, Frontier, Keeler, Middlebrook, Pioneer, Radius, Sanford, Territorial, Wilkins, and Yudof.

$35/box: Pick-up
$35/box: Drop-off
FREE: Individuals who drop-off and pick-up @ Resue Wearhouse (883 29th Ave SE, Minneapolis) during operating hours.

Off-Campus Living
Pick-up and Drop-off is not available for those living off campus, but this service can still be utilized. Items you wish to store can be brought to the Reuse Wearhouse (883 29th Ave SE, Minneapolis) and picked-up when you are ready.
