The University of Minnesota ReUse Program recovers usable furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials from more than 250 buildings across the Twin Cities campus.
Each item is evaluated at the ReUse Program Warehouse and either redistributed for use within the University or made available for purchase by the public, extending its useful life.
Each year, the program diverts approximately 1 million pounds of usable materials from disposal or recycling.

Did you see something you can't live without? The only way to guarantee something is to be the first person in line during a public sale. We cannot hold items by facebook, email or voicemail request.

University Department Shopping
Looking for items for your department, office, lab, or other University-related use?
University faculty, staff, and departments have exclusive shopping hours to obtain items intended for official University purposes. Departments are also welcome to shop during public sale hours.
University Department Shopping Hours
- Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Please bring:
- Your U Card
- An EFS number for departmental purchases

- Hours may be affected by University holidays and special events.
- The ReUse Store is closed for all shopping during student move-in and move-out weeks.

During Public Sale Hours
- Free parking is available in the loading dock area.
- Additional street parking is available on Weeks Avenue, 27th Avenue SE (west), and Como Avenue.
Outside Public Sale Hours
- Parking is not permitted in the loading dock area.
- University faculty and staff should use the nearby metered parking spaces.

- Vehicles parked in reserved/contract parking spaces may be ticketed.
- Vehicles parked at metered spaces without payment may also be ticketed.
