EB Custodians Make Nicholson Welcoming in Spirit and Appearance

Compliment from Natan Paradise, Assoc Director Jewish Studies:

I am writing to thank you and the facilities staff in Nicholson Hall for the hard work they do keeping the building beautiful and clean. Tadele, Seble and Tigist do a fantastic job on a daily basis, and when special issues come up, such as when a sticker was glued to the woodwork in the foyer, they took it off cleanly and without damaging the wood. Not only do they keep the building looking great, but they contribute to a sense of community in the building, always offering cheerful greetings and making Nicholson Hall welcoming in spirit as well as in appearance. We are very grateful for the work they do!

Special thanks to: Tadele Tilahun (Sr B&G), Seblwongel Negash, and Tigist Dilnesaw.

I hope you all had a relaxing 4th of July holiday and had a chance to spend some time with family and friends. July 1st marks the beginning of our new fiscal year; the fiscal year (FY) is the financial timeframe in which we set and manage our budgets, and our fiscal years run from July 1- June 30. If you thought 2019 was already passing too quickly, let me welcome you to FY 2020.

Cleaning over 7,000 sinks, toilets and urinals takes skill and commitment from our dedicated co-workers. Each day a proper procedure is performed in the restrooms to clean from least contaminated (sink/vanity area) to more contaminated (toilet/urinal area) to provide a safe facility for students, staff and visitors. Every year our custodial co-workers install 9,000 paper towel rolls and over 23,000 rolls of toilet tissue!
