EB Custodian Dave Wevley Retires as a Star Performer

Dave has been our custodian in Bruininks Hall for many years and all of the building tenants respect and appreciate his work. He's not just a guy who does an incredible job cleaning our building, he is someone you can trust and is incredibly dependable. Every week (if not every other day) he finds lost and found items left behind in classrooms and he turns them in to our Helping U desk. We track these items in a database and often students are re-connected withtheir valuables for which they are incredibly thankful. Unfortunately Dave does not get to hear the gracious thank yous from these students and the sighs of relief when they are reunited with their items, which is why I want to nominate him for this award before he retires in December this year. What a wonderful way to end a career at the U!

We will all miss you Dave!  Enjoy retirement!

Latest FM News

The University is closed on Monday, May 27 in honor of Memorial Day, so I am issuing an early edition of Bill’s Bi-Weekly dedicated to the veterans within FM and beyond.

As many of you know, Jerome Malmquist, FM’s Energy Management Director, has announced his retirement.  His last day will be June 7th.

Graduation season is upon us. For FM, that means sprucing up campus for the thousands of students and their guests who will attend a graduation in May. Thank you for the hard work that you have, and continue, to put in.

Spring officially began on March 20th, but being that we are in Minnesota, we are welcoming it to campus just a little later.

Top notch group!
