Business Analysis

The Business Systems & Strategies Team (BSST) Business Analysts lead the process of analyzing and streamlining complex business processes, following a disciplined approach to research, gather and define business requirements based on project objectives. The BSST BA also dedicate themselves to lifelong learning, furthering their BA skillsets and bringing best practices back to the University.

There are four core areas where the BSST Business Analysts (BA) can provide knowledge and expertise for your project:

Business Requirements Analysis

  • Analyzing the current state
  • Defining the future state
  • Conduct Process Mapping, Data modeling and define Functional vs. Non-Functional Requirements

Solution Scoping and Eliciting Requirements

  • Define client needs
  • Guide the project team’s efforts
  • Determine the benefits and risks for each solution option
  • Recommend the best solution given the project’s needs.

Stakeholder Management

  • Plan Stakeholder engagement and conduct stakeholder analysis
  • Use BA tools to provide in depth analysis
